My recent stay at Fosshotel Myvatn exceeded all expectations! From the cozy modern rooms with fantastic lake views to the delightful staff, every moment was a treat. the restaurant may be a bit pricey, but the food and service were exceptional. Despite the lack of breakfast, the breakfast buffet was a highlight. The location was perfect for exploring the eerie and atmospheric landscape surrounding the hotel, with bubbling mud pools and curious lava formations. It truly felt like a base for those who prefer to wander off the beaten track. the views from the room were stunning, especially after a snowstorm, providing a true retreat. The spacious triple room was beautifully decorated, and the little balcony was a delightful surprise. Even without a lake view, the hotel's surroundings were breathtaking. the breakfast was a delicious start to each day, with plenty of options to choose from. Fosshotel Myvatn is a gem in Northeast Iceland, perfect for families, friends, and couples seeking adventure and relaxation.
